Mine aren't brilliant, nor were they last year, but what is very noticeable is that one end of the bed (which receives almost full sun) they are much bigger than the other, which gets quite a bit of shade.  I'll be trying a sunnier spot next year.

Also got white rot in a few, despite this bed never having been used for onions before (it was grassed over up until 2 years ago).
