Every year you learn something else. This year I learnt more.
I have just bought some Swede and Parsnip plugs and was wondering does anyone know how long they would take to grow prior to picking.
The reason I ask is going back to my first sentence, every year I learn and this year about October time, want to change my plot around to use the space better.
I don't want to be waiting for the swede and Parsnips to grow and waste time.

The Swede are "Best of all"
The Parsnips are "Tender amd True".

In my opinion, for October harvest, you're very late, especially the parsnips which need a very long growing season and only develop their flavour after a really good frost.

Any time harvest really, just so I have got time to move everything around. November would be okay even December.

Once it gets cooler around late October time & the first frosts, things won't grow very much, so whatever you put in has got to have put on the growth by then.
