I have 6 hens. They are about 10 months old. We used to get between 4-5 eggs a day. In the past week we are lucky to get 2 a day and then yesterday and today we have had nothing. They are still getting the same food as before. Could it be the heat? It has been so hot here lately that I was thinking that that might have something to do with it.

They seem happy and healthy. Cluck around as usual. But they just aren't laying.

My ducks stopped laying about this time last year when they went into a moult. Any signs of that sort of thing?

Really hope tey leave it a bit longer this year.

a couple of mine stopped laying because of the heat - as they are free ranging I thought they were laying else where as they had done so before - but now that it's been cooler for a few days egg production has gone back to normal

 Stupid question but is molting when they loose their feathers? If so a few of mine are loosing feathers. I have noticed on their chests that they are going a bit bald.

Check everywhere to see if they are laying them somewhere else.  You may have to watch them to see if the disappear anywhere
