I posted last week on a sickly rhubarb crown which I dug up cos all the leaves had just died suddenly.  We worked out it probably had honey fungus from its symptoms.

Just been and looked at the three parts it broke into in my hands, to see they are all sprouting what look like healthy shoots!

Potted them up in fresh compost, but has anyone any ideas as to if they'll survive?

Pici to follow

If there are no black bootlaces coming from the old crown, it won't be honey fungus.

I'd definitely plant them - perhaps in pots to start with, in case there is some infection still around?
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Update

None of them made it, but the strongest of the three was attacked by one of the pesky young magpies, so getting its leaf pecked off probably was the last nail for it. I've just emptied the pots, only to find a white vine weevil grub in there ("C" shaped one). and am wondering if this was the root (if you'll excuse the pun) cause of the problem

we had one in the garden at home, it was in a fairly large tub, but was getting to big. so my wife moved it. it was fine for about 2 to 3 months but then the leaves started to die and it looked terrible, looked dead. I moved it down to the allotment, and within a week it had 2 new shoots, that was 3 weeks ago ish and now its looks great
