When will Wendy lay?
« on: July 01, 2009, 21:56 »
Evening all, phew it's a warm one today don't you think??!!

Anyhow, anyone care to give me a clue when my 2 Partridge Wyandotte bantams will start to lay, not too sure on their exact age but between 15 and 19 weeks, quite vague on that one, so it will be a suprise when it happens.  Heidi is few weeks younger.   They're not very tame, unlike the warrens, they now have learnt to bang on the the cat flap and shout for food!!!

Also, I was hoping to seek out some Pekins nearby but can't find any on the net, anyone on here live in Cheshire with any?  I'm reluctant to buy from an advert as I have only bought from people I know before.

As for wyandottes I usually find 24 to 28 weeks is when they will start laying.
I have PM'd you regarding Pekins in Chesire.
