Can anyone help please,,,I am about to get my first chickens,over the last couple of nights it looks like a badger has dug a hole on my piece of land exposing a bumble bee nest.The hole is in the middle of where the chicken run is going...Can I just fill the hole and carry on,,will the scratting chickens have problems..Moving the run is not an option at the moment because of growing vegetables..look foreward to your help,,  Pedro

I would be more concerned about the "badger" as they can and do kill and eat chickens. Leave the bumble bee nest alone and concentrate on making your run secure. The chucks will leave em alone.  Well thats what I would do.

Hi agree badgers are very strong and can easily break into a henhouse, as you know you have badgers in your area I would make sure the house is secure and put a good bolt on it as they will tip it over to get to the hens

we had badgers at home and they pushed up 6ft panels to get into  next doors garden
