I've basically finished picking the early peas. (Twinkle) I was going to pull the plants and use the space for some swede but I noticed a few new flowers appearing today. Is it worth leaving them for a second crop or should I stick to the swede plan ?

As you said,its an early pea, so though theres more flowers on there wont be a large yield from now on. You could try another variety though if you want to succession for the rest of the season

Dont pull the plants in any event, just cut off the tops and let the roots do their good stuff

Id go for the swede plan myself too

I figured as much, just thought Id check with those who know better. The rows of Jaguar have just starting to produce pods so there will still be warm fresh peas for breakfast. 

I'll put the swede in tomorrow - Might have a rummage around the seed box, if its not too late. I may have some balmoral and endeavour leftover from last year.

I love to grow swede,its my second fave veg to grow. So if youve got some 'second' peas already growing,then this is the next most productive for me (with no hassle)
