« on: June 20, 2009, 19:07 »
Hi All.....I plan to plant things later in the year for over wintering in a cold frame in pots/modules etc....Peas.Broad Beans.Garlic.Caulis........Question is do I keep the cold frame lid on and also anything else worth overwintering?

Garlic doesn't go in the cold frame for overwintering it goes straight in earth and stays here till harvest :)
As for overwintering in acold frame  i'm sorry i can't help, but someone will surely be along soon who can :)

All others (though aquadeluce BB for overwintering) that you mentioned dont need a coldframe either, so plant and leave the lid off

This year most of my garlic rotted in the ground....I assume due to wet conditions from november when they were planted......plant in pots then control the amount of water and plant out in early spring?????....just a thought......
