And a big tub of clotted Cornish!

Any cures for stomach ache?
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

I know how you feel - I picked 4lb yesterday, with just as many appearing ready for tomorrow!
My patch came from 1 plant given to me 2 years ago - which made 9 babies for last years patch and a giant sprawl of a thing this year. I am so chuffed at the result! a question though - people say you should replace strawberry plants every 3 years - this is the 3rd year for the mother plant, the 2nd for the first 9 babies, but only the first for all the rest of the runners that established at the end of last summer. when and how should I think about replacing, or starting to collect new babies? It looks absolutely lush now and I don't want to cut it down in it's prime!

I know how you feel, but that is the recommended approach. I'd be reluctant to dig them up, but just bear in mind that your second year ones will be like those next year. I'd start looking for the runners.

Of course, if you're got the space, a stay of execution for a year wouldn't harm & you can have 4 lots of plants!

These are of course the ones that made it home!

Anyway - must go & do as Bob Marley says! (I didn't really eat them all!).

I'd take out a few of the oldest plants every year. But the thing about starting a new bed is s that you can enich the soil all over again. So in the year before you decide to lift them all get all your runners rooting in pots, rather than into the soil. This makes it easy to lift them when you dig over the bed...........then only replant the runners plus a few 'young' looking plants if you need more plants than the runners would give. :)
That's how i did mine when i had a lottie.

I've got some going spare.  You just need to scrape it off the kitchen floor. ::)
