What does everyone else use to deter the army of slugs and snails ? Iv'e tried sharp gravel,egg shells ect and i have beer traps, but they still eat my Marigolds, iv'e been out at midnight with a torch >:( what's the answer ?P-L-E-A-S-E. :)

Personally I use organic Slug pellets with Ferrum phosphate. They work very well and I have hardly any slug damage.

I use a liquid slug killer. It`s not unsightly, pets an birds can`t eat it and it can actually be watered over the plants.
