Anyone ever tried to grow courgettes upwards ie on trellis or something? Cucumbers seem OK so I wondered if this would work.
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

There was that woman on the Big Dig programme who put 4 canes forming a square and grew hers up them.  she said its what they do in France!  Not tried it yet myself though.

I think you need to get a climbing variety like Black Forest rather than a bush type.

I cann`t see why it wouldn`t work though the stems can be quite brittle.Is anyone growing black forest?
