Dead Bumble
« on: June 06, 2009, 10:20 »
Yesterday i noticed that Bumble had not come off the nest and assumed that she had become broody, then roosting time came and she didn't go in, so i had to put her in, she didn't put up much fuss(she is the noiseiest and most alert hen) i feared the worst then, and this morning as soon as daylight came i let them out and she was dead in the coop, the other hens seem fine, what could have happened? They have an excellent life as they are pets, help! :( :( :( :( :(

Thank you, she was only about 7-8 months old she was an Araucana type and layed blue eggs, i can't understand how such a healthy looking hen can just die overnight like that, she had been laying o.k, and laid the day before.
