Planning permission for polytunnels

Following on from Lottie Ladies posting re petitions for the allotment site in London I had a search around the site. I found this petition calling for the scrapping of a law saying planning permission is needed to construct a polytunnel.

Seems genuine, so I signed it.

Strange this as we appear not to need PP for such objects the council seem happy enough so long as they are not BIG ones. Quite a few do use them.

I think this was a case against a commercial grower and is now being applied to other commercial growers ie the fields full of them and does not apply to single or domestic polytunnels.
