The allotment rules at my place state that you can not have a shed or a greenhouse so that thieves and vandals are discouraged from entering the site.
We have a 20 foot steel container which anyone having an allotment can have a key.
Not an ideal situation but it seems to work according to the old hands.
I am not very clever but I can lift heavy things

Its amazing what they'll take. My dad had a new shed taken from his garden. It was locked but empty. The had to lift it over a 6ft fence to the road. The police recon it took at least 3 of them to do it and either had a truck waiting or were very local but even if someone spots it you can't prove it's the same one!

It just leaves you with a sick feeling when something like this happens. there have been lots of suggestions about where you could try to get another shed (Don't let the B's grind you down  :tongue2: :tongue2:)

... you could try to make one our of pallets . Lots of the people on this forum have made some awesome ones and they must be too heavy to move

I think that sheds have their own 'fingerprints' no two shed doors will have knots in the same places so if you take a few photos it might help you prove ownership.

You have to find it first!!

We had a children's playhouse stolen from the school grounds a couple of summers ago. Lifted over a 2m fence and carried about half a mile to the railway line, where the little ****s set up house for the summer.Local police wouldn't help as they 'wcouldn't cross the railway line'

We actually did get it back (now bolted down to paving slabs) thanks to some quick witted parents who reclaimed it when the occupants were out one night  :D :D

Nothing is sacred ....
