Is it really this colour or a trick of the light? I think (only think mind) it could be young leaves of Alchemilla mollis (Lady's mantle) from the shape of them, with developing flowers in the centre of the whorls

Yep if they're green leaves and the flowers are yellowy/green then it's Alchemilla...aka Lady's Mantle
Look here for another pic to check :)

It takes over the gravel if you are not careful and it will grow in any crack or join of concrete.

Does look like Alchemilla mollis although the colour isn't quite right.

Useful plant for difficult places - will grow almost anywhere and in any soil

Has attractive leaves covered in fine hairs which hold drops of water after rain.

Sprays of yellow/green flowers are good filler with other cut flowers and can be dried or glycerined.

The problem spreading is by self seeding and can largely be controlled by taking the shears ( or strimmer! ) to them straight after flowering. Cut hard back they will soon make a mound of fresh new leaves
Playing all the right notes but not necessarily in the right order!
