should I let them out?

Hello everyone.
Can't believe how my ducklings have grown over the past week!
Anyway, they have been confined to a covered run during the time I have had them. They will be 8 weeks old now.
Should I let them out to free range along with the chickens? (who are only out when I am in)
The garden is very secure and the dog sees off any foxes.
Will they go back into their home when it gets dark?

Not very knowledagble <<<see New Member brand, but I let my chooks out for the first time this evening and popped a torch in the henhouse when it was time for them to go back. I got the distinct impression they'd have gone back anyway but it helped light the way home! My torch is a bit bright but a sock over the end helped dim it a little
