Hi there,  I'm not sure where to ask this question.   Could be in another part entirely!  Anyway...

About egg colours - on a brown egg, should the shell be brown all the way through, or is it white inside?   I'm wondering if the eggs I bought are as they were lain, or have been spray painted so as to sell them for more money.   

I bought some Goldegg Free Run Eggs today, and the shell is very evenly brown on the outside, and white on the inside. 

When I brought them home, I wondered if they spray painted them, becuase they are so even coloured.   Then, when I looked inside and they were white, I started wondering if that is natural, or not.   Maybe that is just the kind of chickens they have.  But I've seen other brown eggs where each egg is a slightly different shade of brown, and when you peel the egg, the inside of the shell is brown too. 

I'm trying to go for the most organic and non-interfered-with variety.  So if they coloured them, like they do sometimes with oranges and bananas, I'll go elsewhere to find eggs.  We do have an organic shop in town, so I can go there next time, but I was wondering what you think about these ones?

All mine are white on the inside of the shell So I don't think you have anything to worry about all perfectly natural
