Hi We have recently added three young ladies (about 20-21 weeks now) to our household. They are getting on really well but i do have one concern. They have quickly learned to put themselves to bed on an evening. However i noticed that all three are squeezing into one nest box on a night to sleep. I know they can perch as i have seen them during the day using the perches. Would you move them (even though they look really cute all cuddled up together) onto the perches after they have gone to bed. There are two other nest boxes that they are leaving empty so i'm not worried about where they can lay (when they eventually do)

This behaviour is absolutely normal for chickens    Haven't got a clue have they 

Most people lift them onto the perches after they have gone to bed to teach them where to sleep and stop the nests getting pooy.

Mine did the same , 3 chooks wedged in a ft sq nest box. Put an sloping board in the nestboxes before roosting time ,a piece of stiff card board will do. They normally get the message and end up on the perch.
After a year my light sussex sometimes still sleeps in the nestbox but she dosen`t foul it so no probs.
