How do you make your cane wigwams?

Should I buy one of the various wigwam cane supports or is it easy to make your own?

Any suggests most welcome
Try my best to be Organic but don't always make it

Without wishing to sound facetious, I find twine works quite well!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

6 ft to 8 ft canes  thick ones . take an elastic band and put around the top  of all 5 canes . now take 2 yards of twine and tie a knot to start on one cane and then interweave the twine in and out the canes .... open it out and set it on the soil push each cane in to about 6 inch or more if your using 7 ft 8 ft canes ..... now take a  cane and cut it to fit between 2 upright canes and tie one end to the first upright and then to the second . go round the 5 attaching each cane to a cross member  until you complete the circle
knew cub games would come in use one day lol

the best wig wam i,ve seen is on our site this clever man has an old 20 inch bicycle wheel (no tyer) on a pole and then string tied all the way round at intervals and pegged individualy to the ground hes briliant that chap he uses all sorts of stuff like the glass from old washing machines as mini cloches  .

Love it.... may even work one of those here.  My OH is always rescuing and recycling bikes for others.  And I've just spent the morning sorting all the old baler twine from the hay we've been feeding to the ponies all winter.

Just need a tall - secure pole now!  :)
