school plot
« on: March 30, 2007, 13:20 »
ive agreed to plan out a small plot for the local nursery school which my daughter attends and am looking for ideas of what will be ok to grow and be ready to crop before they break up for summer hols at end of july.
i have some spare tomato plants growing in the kitchen(gardeners delight),but are these likely to be ready by then?

absolutly ,, when theyb get 3  feet tall nip the growing tops out ,the fruit will flower as it grows and then set , nipping the tips out will allow it to ripen earlier . you will need to get down to the school during the hols to water etc  depending on what plants you have in  incidently i know haow ya feel im doing runner beans and sunflowers for my sins cabbage brocoil leeks etc for winter showing
