Currently we have 6 ducks in very large garden/orchard near to house, just pets and eggs for the kitchen, 5 female and 1 male, Aylesburys and Campbells. We want to increase flock by about 3 and introduce young ducks against the inevitable aging of the current flock.
We have on offer the following POL ducks
Aylesburys,  Silver Appleyards, Muscovys, Crested and some Cayuga x Indian runners .
If it was your choice what would you choose??

For me it would have to be the Cayuga x Runners
I have been amazed by my runners laying ability

Female Muscovies are supposedly great sitters, but from what I can gather they are more goose like in the respect they graze more on grass than your average duck.

I really like my silver appleyard. She is beautiful and has a much calmer temperment than the Campbells. Not entirely sure if she is laying yet though as they are all in together. Cayugas are also beautiful and I have some Cayuga / campbell crosses in the incy at the moment but you'll have to wait a while before I can tell you what they are like!
