They're not trees, but raspberries can tolerate wind and give you lovely fruit if you manure them yearly.

Go to your local nursery.  They are very helpful.  I've got a scrumptious apple (nice and sweet); stella cherry and conference pear, they get attacked by wind.  We get the full westly winds straight at them.  There's noproblem, the fruit are very nice, but mine are semi-vigorous which is one nearest to the largest size trees.

As a guidance, the rootstock on my fruit trees are:-

Apple (Scrumptious)   MM106 (M27 is "very dwarf" and M9 is "dwarf");
Cherry (Stella) - the tree is the same size as the apple but the rootstock is "Colt" (it doesn't give you the sizes of any other);
Pear (Conference) - again the same size tree as both apple and cherry, but the rootstock on this is "Quince C".  Again, it doesn't say what the dwarfs are.

All trees are self-fertile.

Hope this is helpful.  We got our trees from Prestbury Nurseries, which were far cheaper than garden centres, about £5 each difference in price.
