I need a few pointers as regards using lime.
What is lime for?
Is it only applied to the brassica bed?
Can it be used straight after adding manure?
How much per sq yard?

What is lime for?
It raises the PH hence lowering acidity. Needs are dependant on crop.

Is it only applied to the brassica bed?
In the course of normal rotation yes, but if you have acidic soil you may need to lime beds for other crops.

Can it be used straight after adding manure?
No!

Depends on the type of lime being applied, how acidic the soil is and for what crop. Read the instructions on the container.
