Done a bit more work, started raking stuff into a big pile so I have somewhere clear enough to use for burning (safely)   

My mum decided to get a few sheets of newspaper and try and light a fire in the corner of one of the piles. She didn't think it would take  and it did. SO spent most of last Saturday tending a fire and making sure it didn't get out of control. 

   



Trying to clear the top 1/4 so we can start getting ready to burn more rubbish etc.

Looks like some of the other plot holders have been doing a bit of dumping on your newly hallowed ground.  Shame on them. 

Sounds like you've got a handle on it. Hold on to the stuff that might be useful and torch the rest.

there are a lot of lovely panes of glass there - you can definitely make some good cold frames out of those - if you're not going to burn some of the doors and sides, you can use those as well for your cold  frames - it will save you a bit of money.

There's something very exciting about clearing an overgrown plot isn't there? You just never know what you will find & it's so,so satisfying when it's done. Good luck.
