guys, need some help/advice please.  the chooks we got at the weekend were settling in quite well, however today have returned to find the silkie has been attacked by the others (proabably just the amber) and has loads of feather missing from the back of her neck and looks to be quite sore.
any suggestions??

do i need to do anything to her neck??

Sounds like you need some purple spray Which is sold just as that
It hopefully will stop any future pecking especially if the area is red.

Think I would be tempted if it looks sore to pop some germolene on first

Hi c3, in additon to Vembers advice, you might want to separate the silkie from the other birds during the day,so they are able to see each other but not peck. The trouble with Silkies in a mixed flock is they are prone to being bullied, and it may take a while for it all to settle down. Keep a close eye on the pecking.

thanks for that, will find some purple spray!! and try the germolene

have put her in seperate run for time being.
