A really good book with loads of pics and plain speaking is my bible.  'Diseases of Free Range Poultry' by Victoria Robberts BVSc, MRCVS.  Whittet Books. 2nd edition.  £15.99 ish.  Lots of info from beginer to expert.  Really good book.  All others I have read just go on and on, not enough pics and either not enough info or too technical.  Totally reccomend this book.
