my maran as said in another post most be around 4-5 months old now  when should she start laying  and would her eggs be a lot darker then the ex batts ??

chocolate brown eggs. 

I think they are one of the breeds that becomes broody easily.

ohh thanks for telling me that aunt sally , hopfully then if i do get  round to hatching my own eggs  maybe i could use her then to hatch the babies and look after them
