Planting out garlic
« on: February 18, 2009, 14:57 »
I started off some garlic in pots in the autumn and they are now about 5-6in tall.  Should I be planting them out yet and if so what sort of spacing do I give them (they are going in a raised bed).

yep get them in the ground, to be honest i would of planted them direct. Garlic is very hardy and needs a cold spell to get going.

I space mine around 6" each way

Thanks penance, I will plant them out tomorrow if the weather is as nice as it has been today.  Spring is in the air in Lancs.
