I employ the services of 'Green Thumb' to service my lawn for me.


My worry is that the fertiliser they apply to the lawn every 3 months will harm the chickens if they eat it. Does anyone else use lawn fertiliser? Is there an animal safe one to use?

Any advice, as always, greatly appreciated.

Golly, that site is tricky to navigate!
it says:

"Is it safe for my children or pets?
Yes it is. We do ask that you keep off the lawn until the weedkiller has dried (usually less than 1 hour). This is to prevent you walking the weedkiller off the weeds. Think about this…by using our service you will no longer have half full bottles of concentrated lawn weedkiller in your garden shed."

But, I would probably check with them - because most of these "children and pets" wouldn't be eating the grass, just playing on it....
