Newly Manured Beds
« on: February 05, 2009, 16:16 »
Apart from Courgettes and Pumpkins - are there any crops that would grow well in beds that I have put fresh horse muck on only last week?

Thanks  8)

I'm not sure courgetes or pumpkins will like it fresh. To fresh and it can burn roots.

I was hoping that as I have manured in mid January, and wont plant out till mid May, that the muck wouldn't be too strong  :(

Should be good for anything except carrots as long as you mix it in well or rotavate it and give it a couple of months.

By then It should have been taken into the soil by the worms and should be ok. :D
