I planted two gooseberries plants last Autumn and would like to train them as espaliers. I pruned them to a central stem leaving the first two side branches in place to train along wires. Can anybody tell me how far apart  I should place the next wire to train the next two branches and so on?. I would like to have,  say a 5' tall x 6' wide frame.

I assume you mean what distance (height) apart the horizontal wires should be?

My RHS book says 15".
