Ok , Good news is that I have been digging backwards , so what I have been standing on gets dug over almost straight away and mainly been digging to clear weeds out.

Trying to get all the weeds cleared out so I can get a trailer of manure delivered over the next week or so.

Then I promise not to touch it and it will all be rotovated before I start trying to grow anything (well anything more other than my onions and garlics which have been in since November)

Thanks for the advice .... if I shouldn't rotovate it after manuring could someone let me know!

Can be difficult sometimes. Some people old and young don't like or want change, it threatens their security. Perhaps you could ask the secretary or who ever of any specific problems they may have and come to some understanding, They should know Rome wasn't built in a day and tell them "I can't get on the garden because it damages the soil structure." I imagine if you have poultry on there you must be down there every day

hey Richy, I know what you are saying....it doesnt help the fact that i have two small kiddies, the youngest being 2.5 and last time i took them down for an hour or so to get some stuff done she was juddering within half an hour god love her! i am down everyday to see to the birds, but tbh in this sort of weather, and having to have the little one in tow then i dont tend to hang around too long.

with any luck they will back off a bit now that i have had it dug over for me (in payment for some chooks....and he got carried away....lovely chap thats done it for me) and got a few bits and bats in....all of which will probably die cos not really the right sort of weather for it now...but hey ho... will pm you re the secretary!!

no one can expect littley's to spend too long on the plot, bless her  :D

not much you can do anyway at the minute,
He who asks is a fool for five minutes, but he who does not ask remains a fool forever.
