Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum and need some advice. We got our 4 girls last sunday and this morning (a week later) one has a runny nose (yellow green) and bubbles round her left eye. They're hybrids have been vaccinated are point of lay and raised organically and holistically so already on apple cidar vinegar. I'm wondering if she's got a cold as the temp has plummeted and she was looking sorry for herself yest. Is still eating, drinking, pooing ok etc. Anyone got any thoughts? I've sometimes had cold type symptoms from new birds, I think the stress of moving plays a part there

Does she have any other symptoms?
Rattly chest? Sneezing?
The snotty nose does make me think she might have an infection, especially the colour you describe ? Is there a funny smell around her nostrils?

I think the best thing you can do is find a poultry friendly vet and get her on some antibiotics

Thanks Sarah,
 Haven't noticed a smell but will check, her behaviour otherwise is fine. I wondered about the stress of moving. If she's still poorly tomo will get her to the vet (along with our puppy who is due the snip- could be interesting combo, chicken in one hand puppy in the other!).
