tomato balconii red and yellow
« on: March 07, 2007, 11:03 »
Hi all
am new to this site, but have been growing veg on a small scale for a number of years.  Have recently taken on an allotment plot for the first time.  Can I ask what are people's experiences of growing red and yellow balconii tomatoes from seed?  For the last three years I've had a great crop of yellow in hanging baskets, and have still been picking them in first frost, but cannot get red to succeed at all - usually give up once seedlings die at about an inch high, and grow tumbler tom instead.

Grateful for any comments.
Thanks

Hi sunlover, I'm afraid I've not tired balconii toms yet, and this year will be my first foray into tumbling toms too, usulaly just grow vine toms.

But someone on here will have an opinion I'm sure!!!
