[pennsylvania planters]

Hello folks,
I made the mistake of buying the wife a couple of chooks for Christmas, and almost immediately realised that we want more.  
We are planning on having 6 of them. So i am building a new ark.
The more i try to find how much area they need (interior), the more i get confused. So here is my question,
the floor space will be 24sq feet, is this enough.
The outside run will be big enough (they are on the allotment).

Minimum is 1 sq foot per per bird for the housing and 1 sq metre (or yard) for the run space.

In theory 24 sq ft floor space is enough for 24 birds, if its an arc though perching space wouldn't be as much, I'd say your good for a dozen at least with that space though depending on the outdoor space available
