I'm sure one of you experts can help me with this very simple query.
When adjusting carburrettors etc. you are sometime told to screw the mixture screw fully in and the give it 2 "turns" out. My query is:  is a turn a full 360 degrees or is it 180 or even 90 degrees. Thanks in anticipation.      regards,       Ian

It is indeed a full 360 degree turn.
A lot of people damage carbs by screwing the mixture screws in too tight. They're not dripping taps, and don't need to be wound in with the force of Sampson!
turn them in gently, untill resistance is felt, and then turn the out the recomended amount.
on the ends of the screws, there is a very fragile point (a bit like a needle) if it's wound in too tight, it is damaged, and you'll never get the machine to run correctly, and you could even damage the carb itself!

Thanks for the answer. It's simple when you know the answer!!. I guessed it would be a full 360degrees, but it can make a big difference if don't know. Thanks again,        Ian
