Sorry all but i have forgotten which thread had the info about the hen specs that are designed to stop feather pecking! my 2 amberlinks are still doing it (some days worse than others) i have tried squarting them all with kids tea tree headlice repellent spray which hasnt worked and my boss said all the other sprays she's tried didnt work, so Roastie and Paxo need some shades :? can anyone jog my memory as to where i can get some please.
thinks her guardian angel`s gone on strike !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No thats fine. I simply lap it up. PM me your address and I'll stick you as many pairs as required.
I know that this sounds obvious, but its nearly always the imaculate undamaged ones that are actually doing the feather pecking. :D

Will do Bodger thats really kind  :D They are the only b****rs that do it (mainly to each other   might aswell pluck themselves) but roastie is now looking abit tatty around the bottom so its time for some tough love!   apart from solitary confinement that is

do these 'specs' go through the nostrils? and how do they work? by not letting the beak close fully? my hens are still pecking the hell out of one of mine. i suspect i've never had an egg out of her either, and she seems smaller than the others but that could be just the lack of feathers.

feather plucking -serious
Hi am new to the chat room and to chicken keeping -

one of my hens has taking to pecking the other 2 with one of the other hens now having a horrible wound to her leg - canabalism nearly!  I have seperated her (living in my downstair loo!) so her leg can heal but need to stop the feather plucker quickly.

Have heard about the hen specs but can't find them anywhere and do they work - I love my hens and hate to see them hurt!
