First post - the beans in question (this year) are french although I did have the same problem last year with runner beans. I bring my beans on in pots of compost to get a head start on slugs and then plant out after the first or second set of leaves. most of the plants do fine but an appreciable number - about 20% so far this year - have the leaves go very thin and silver/ grey colour and then die. No obvious sign of pests. I had wondered whether they were getting scorched but it hasn't been that sunny this last week here. It could just be that I'm being clumsy planting out but the stems at least don't seem broken. Any suggestions? or anyone else had a similar problem? All help gratefully received!

it's frost damage I'd say. Plant them out later and you should be ok

Some of my toms have gone a bit like that and I had concluded it was a bit cold for them when I first put them out
