onions gone bad anyone else lost theres

thinking about all the sound advice on here thanks everyone,just one more thought .When these were drying of in the shed ,because its got a clear perspex roof and gets hot in there i use it for starting plants and its warmer than the greenhouse .My thought is could they have gotten to hot in there ,would this effect the onions long term  .But i do hold my hands up and except i harvested early ,to blooming keen thats the problem lol :oops:  :?:
If the early bird gets the worm how come the 2nd mouse to the trap gets the cheese ??

Pushrod raises an important point. Leaving air to circulate around them helps a lot. I store mine in the greenhouse but always leave the lights open a little and most of mine are fine, an odd one with white rot on the base but thats all.
