Just doing a bit of forward planning and wondered how many (roughly) seed potatoes you tend to get to the kilo ?

It's years since I grew any, and then you bought them in good old British pounds, why can't they leave things alone.   :roll:


Would have thought that the variety would play a part, main croppers being bigger that is.

You get 10 /12 seed potatoes in a kilo.

Plant earlies 12 inches apart and main crop 15 inches apart.

If the seed are small plant closer, if they are big plant further apart.

A kilo of seed will always plant the same length of row which makes ordering seed easy. Earlies 10ft and main crop 12ft.
