Sweet peppers and cucumbers in growbags

Any advice on growing sweet peppers and cucumbers together in one growbag in a greenhouse.
Would we need heat in the greenhouse in the north of England?
And would we need a frame to support the fruit ?.

I don't see why not. I grow my cucumbers & peppers in the same greenhouse, but in individual pots, using compost from growbags. I only use heat from germination until the plants are of a reasonable size, (say 3' for the peppers and about 3 leaves for the cucumbers, by which time the days are warmer. Support wise, I use canes for the peppers and have chicken wire running around the inside of the greenhouse for the cucumbers.

Hope it helps, there will not doubt be some other ideas forthcoming.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

I grew sweet peppers in grow bags in the greenhouse last year, but planted too many seeds so had a dozen plants over (!). Didn't have space in the greenhouse so put them in veg plot. Guess which did better? The ones outside...got too hot in the greenhouse I think and difficult to keep them watered enough. Doubt you would need heat in the greenhouse (although of course I'm in the tropical south), but I did germinate them on a windowsill indoors first.

I find that growbags are difficult to keep watered they leak and dry out so quick. Cucumbers need loads of water and nutriants. They are much easier to look after in the ground. Dig in loads of dung and they do very well. Dont know much about sweet peppers.

and an objective.

Guidance on my seed packet is that "Peppers must be started early, ideally in a propagator. Late Jan/early Feb is ideal if you can grow on in a heated greenhouse, otherwise early March. Requires warm soil to germinate. Ideally 25-30C, otherwise will take 2-3 weeks or more at lower temperatures - min 20C".

I found green peppers not worth the bother or effort. I grow sweet banana peppers which have more flavour and produce more per plant with less fuss. But all peppers need consistent moisture to thicken their walls, but not soggy feet. And I grow them outside only; they like heat but not to be cooked when growing.
