blowing a hoolie
« on: November 09, 2008, 20:20 »
It is getting very windy out there at the mo
Just had to go out and save what was a full dustbin as it was blowing down the lane. Can't see to clear up but it was lighter bringing it back than when i put it out  Now i've found the lid i've put some bricks on hope that keeps it down.

Now i'm wondering if the greenhouse  will still be there in the morning, as for the fences (which belong to a non gardener  )

Is it me, or has this year been a lot windier than usual. Can't remember having problems with greenhouse and framelights as often in previous years...........what do you think?

its blowing a gale here as well !! and the site where my new plot is quite exposed, so it was doubly windy up there today, but then I always remember november gales where I grew up in wales, the rain was always horizontal this time of year.....which made for a bracing walk......gales, sea salt and sand..... Bristol has tamer weather than where I used to live, but it is gale force at the moment

Very blustery on the coast here in Kent, and looking on the met office it looks like we have more wind than anywhere else at the moment.

Fingers crossed no more bits of my house blow off like they did last year around this time!

I'm also glad I tied up my broccoli this afternoon, otherwise it would have been a goner!

Windy as hell here, but my 4 tier greenhouse is still there with boulders in the bottom! Just planted some fruit trees and fruit bushes... don't think i'll have to water them...

i was hoping the windy weather would help dry my allotment a bit so i can dig the other half over, as its currently a swampy clay bog. then i looked at tomorrows forecast and its going to be tipping it down again!
trying to be organic

My poor old tree fern was blown over and the pots broken :-(
Cost and arm and a leg too (the pot I mean)
