Oh Alan, I'm really sorry to hear about that.

I hope that as it was quite near the end of the season, the plant damage was more limited than it might have been earlier.

Don't let it get you down, just try to take a step back and open your seed catalogues for next year.  And perhaps talk to your police about increasing PCSO presence in the area / allotment committee or council about improving site security.
