That is a nice selection.
Kestrel is very slug resistant and King Edward is also good.
You will get wire worm if you plant your potatoes in soil that has just been turned over from grass so you are best to avoid that.
Charlotte are an excellent potato as are pink fir apple.

Oh dear - just starting my plot which has been left for 18 months and covered in grass & couch (apart from one small area under polythene)
Is there anything I can do to reduce the risk?
I'm going to be growing sarpo Mira, Nicola (my DD's name!) and International Kidney

Sorry - just re read thread and found the answer - think mine are all earlies as I'm too impatient to wait fro maincrop and we tend to eat them all pretty quick

just done my allotment association order and went for the following:

1st earlies - international kidney
2nd earlies - Estima
main crop - Cara
                  Pink fir apple
                  Santa
                  Picasso

might also sneak in some charlottes as my mum usually gives us some when she plants hers.

the only one of them i have grown before is pink fir apple.

i grew kestrel this year and found little slug damage, however they tasted really mealy and i found them disgusting to taste even as chips.
king edward which are supposedly slug resistant where hammered by slugs and were useless against blight which isnt surprising as they are a 1902 variety ( i think) wont be growing either of these again.
my list for this year is
orla fe
nadine se
lady balfour mc
