Plastic greenhouse kept out the frost!
« on: October 29, 2008, 13:27 »
I am quite surprised actually. I didn't think the plastic greenhouse would offer any protection against a moderate frost but everything inside it is still alive. In contrast, the pepper plants outside bit the dust, with the top layer of soil frozen solid.

If anyone could tell me the lower limits of these greenhouses temp wise that would be useful.

cheers.

no idea i have only had mine a a few months and though it is a little ripped around the zip along the door, the peppers are still producing in it, whilst most things on the plot have now come to an end.

I went down the the plot yesterday and there was no sign of my plastic greenhouse. It was very secure but the winds last week have ripped the metal frame to shreds and the greenhouse was deposited about 100 yds away in a huge overgrown area of brambles.
