Now i know this sounds daft are there diff types of these and am i too late to sew them ???
I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.

Greyhound and Offenham Flower of Spring are my favourites.  I've just planted mine & will harvest in late June or July.  You should manage a couple of weeks earlier due to your proximity to the equator.

so if i plant from seeds shortly how long will thay take to germinate before i can plant out??

Where are you planting them (and don't say Birmingham)?   :D

Heated greenhouse
Cold greenhouse
cold frame
cloche outdoors ?

hehe i'm planting them indoors at the moment in trays  but hope to transfer to a cold greenhouse when i can

stick em in a greenhouse or a heated window and you should get them out by mid april with luck , they should have gone in before Christmas for a good cabbage but you will still have success with them  :wink:  i use offenham as well sown in august and planted out  mine will be cut end of march april as i force some on by feeding sulphate of ammonaia curently have about 60 in .will take piccy asap

Great veg but remember to net them when you plant them put or the pesky pigeons will have the benefit of all your hard work!
