Hello, First time grower here.

Not wanting to wait until next year to get my hands dirty, I've got my hands on a packet of onions sets from the local garden center (I've also got some garlic).

After preparing my beds I'm ready to plant.
However, I'm getting some conflicting infomation on when to plant them.
I'm seeing either now (oct/nov) or early spring (march time).
The packet is of no help what so ever.

The onions are sets (as said above) and are called Setton.
Can anyone help?
