Noo, you will get silly spuds.
You have a lucky husband.. my potatoes to date don't do anything. How does he manage it? Any special tips?
Hi, Well of couse he's lucky he's got me
But seriously, he started of by just covering the spud, and just earthing up any new growth as soon as it appeared. He checked them evry night when he came home and watered them. Half way though their development he gave them a feed of chicken pellets.
We thought that they had no pests because they were not in the ground and that as they were not many in one place it reduced the disease factor, but thats only surmise. Also could it be that they were nice and warm because of the plastic tubs ?
Apart from that it must be beginners luck
