oooh well done. Not sad at all     I took pics of mine too as I do all my stuff. Well a gal has to have a hobby     Birds nicked most of mine but next year they'll be mine all mine (evil laugh   )  Someone is getting rid of some fruit trees on our site as they're in his way so he's giving them to me as I'm making an orchard  8)

That sounds brill what sort of fruit trees are they. most of our apples and pears had an awful year with white fly and leaf miner but among all the manky ones this plum stood out in a stunning condition.

my fruit looks a bit manky as the rabbits have been at it not to mention the blackbirds and all manner of insects. Mind you I picked an apple this morning "Howgate Wonder" and it was lovely if a tad nibbled  :D

I'm getting an apple and a plum off this chap, they look like they're on dwarfing rootstocks so won't get too big.  I was hoping to get a pear as the one I got from Lidl has been killed off by rabbits eating the trunk. I must get some of those protectors

I love plums but not those rock hard, unripe rubbish from the supermarket. Apparently most of the lushest varieties don't travel. Which is where growing your own opens up a whole new world of gorgeous plums  :D  I made a plum crumble (and I took a pic   )
