i have planted 8 lots of double 8m rows of peas feltnham first i think, and 4 rows of mange tout, with a bit of luck i will get a crop before the frost kills them they are currently about 1/2ft high and doing well.

will do, my resoning was thus:

i have just cleared the plot, what to put in well packet says 12-14weeks to crop, garden action website thing says first frosts will be mid-november, from time of sowing to 2 week of november = 13 weeks.

plus even if i dont get a crop, it will do the soil some good.

Yes, cabbages,kale,sprouts, purple sprouting will all love to follow on from the peas.
